José Ángel Bejarano

PhD Student at CENIM-CSIC. Researching and developing simulations and predictive models for optimizing Aditive Manufacturing processes. Maintenance and development of a digital laboratory with thermodynamics modelling software focused on material science.

Research Interests

My research work focuses on additive manufacturing and its simulation.
I investigate both the simulation of additive manufacturing processes via finite element methods, and the subsequent learning of these results in order to feed advanced deep learning models that are able to generalize and predict new results instantaneously.
I am interested in advanced simulation techniques, from macroscopic level simulations to simulations that take into account the microstructure phases of the manufactured parts.
On the other hand, I am in constant search of new deep learning models capable of detecting in the most efficient way possible these patterns and are able to generalize from the databases generated by finite elements.
